Pain can be one of the most debilitating and demoralising experiences. The longer the pain persists the harder it becomes to stay motivated.
Pain itself is a signal sent from one part of the body to the brain. The very first part of the pain process is where nerve cells, whether it’s in the skin or bones or the muscles or other parts of the body, receive a stimulus of some type. This painful stimulus tells the brain that damage is being caused. The signal is sent through the spinal cord to the brain.
When there is an acute situation of pain that’s happening right now it makes sense to warn you that this hurts so you can do something about the cause of the pain.
However sometimes with chronic pain those damaged cells literally misfire, they make a mistake and they produce pain messages even after the danger or the physical stimuli no longer exists.
Pain warns us there is an issue you need to address. However, once warned you don’t keep need to keep being warned.
This is where hypnosis can help.
Once the source of the pain is investigated and medical advice taken, there are many ways to treat pain. Whether through surgery, medication or alternative methods.
Hypnosis can help you take control of your health and take steps to reduce stress and tension, minimise and control pain and regain your zest for life.
Through hypnotherapy you can
1. reduce stress and tension.
2. minimise your pain signal.
3. control the effect of pain physically and emotionally.
4. change your awareness of pain, so you are not in your pain.
5. improve your life so that you feel positive again and start redoing the things you love.
