Improve your Sports Performance

Do you want to be on top of your game?
Is there an area you want to improve?
Do you need to increase your motivation or stay calm and focused?

Get back in control, refocus and be your best on the big day.

To compete and stay on top of your game requires you to not only hone your athletic skills but also maintain the right mental focus. Having self-doubt, anxieties, and fears can be detrimental to your sports performance.

Various psychological factors, or mental factors, can help or prevent sportspeople from being in the right ‘frame of mind’ to perform well.

In sport, you have to want to perform and to improve your performance. Your determination to do this is called motivation.

If training leads to boredom you will lose motivation. If you are ‘wound up’ or suffering from anxiety you will feel the tension in your body and this can prevent you from performing well. This can greatly affect future performances.

The intensity of your performance is called arousal. Some people need high arousal levels to perform, for example, a coach will help their team get excited about performing before a game.

Others perform better if they stay calm and focused. Too much stimulation will cause them to be over-aroused and they will not perform well.

Hypnotherapy can help you alleviate pre-competition anxieties, overcome mental obstacles, and remove any negative thoughts. You will be able to enhance your focus, concentration and motivation, which will improve your athletic performance.
