Hello, my name is Katina
“Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.”
My name is Katina Chapman and I have been a professional hypnotherapist since 2013. Since launching a private practice I have personally helped hundreds of people from all over Norfolk and Suffolk from my offices based in Lowestoft and Norwich. I also offer appointments via video conference using Zoom.
Being a hypnotherapist is great. Most clients are new to the subject and do not know how much – or how quickly – hypnosis can help them. I help people get rid of their problems in just a few sessions. This naturally amazes people, especially if they have had the problem for many years. Some problems might take longer to eliminate but the only way to find out is to start!

A little bit about Katina
I work with people who are looking to make positive changes in their life. Many of my clients are looking to manage stress, get rid of fears and phobias or lose weight, reduce pain and adopt a new set of habits easily. Habits that are realistic, that meet their goals, and that they are happy to live with for the long term.
Prior to becoming a full-time therapist, I spent over 25 years, working in Human Resources. My key driver was to make a difference. During this time I worked closely with many people to help them overcome anxiety and stress, build confidence and re-empower their lives. I used NLP style coaching as well as the more esoteric skills of meditation, mindfulness, and other spiritual practices.
I am a qualified clinical Hypnotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner, Mindfulness Practitioner, Meridian Based Therapist, Sound Therapist, Crystal Therapist, and Coach. My offices are based in Lowestoft and Norwich; I also offer appointments via video conference via Zoom.
I work with my clients to help them make the changes they want.
How I discovered Hypnotherapy
I first discovered the powerful effects of hypnotherapy when I was looking to find ways to help my husband manage his chronic pain, following an accident in 2009, which left him with a crushed spine. Being a therapist I knew alternative therapies worked and after we found out that the damage to his spine could not be operated on, I started looking for other ways to help him.
I completed a short course and was blown away by the results my husband, Neil and I, managed to get. On a pain scale with 10 being unbearable and 0 being no pain, we managed to temporarily reduce his pain from a 10 to 3. I was amazed. Inspired by these results, I then enrolled on a longer course, later completing my masters in Hypnotherapy.
Since then I have been honoured to help many people change their lives and become happier, healthy and in control.
Katina 'The Happy Hypnotist'
“Doing what you like is freedom. Liking what you do is happiness.” Frank Tyger
I think that if I had to pick one word to describe me, it would probably be “happy”.
Happy is about being content and enjoying life. Whether I’m walking my beautiful dog, Bella, on the beach, enjoying Sunday lunch with my family, travelling around the world or simply spending time in my garden, or doing all the other stuff that makes life great and makes me happy.
Life for me can be pretty busy, but I always make time to do the things I love. That might be playing the harp, baking a yummy cake, or relaxing with a good book.
Having a colourful life of friends and family, together with work that I love, makes me happy and feel like I’m really living life to the fullest. I love what I do!
Making a difference is what makes me want to put on bright colours and get out into the world with a big smile on my face.
The Happy Hypnotist!

I really hadn’t thought it possible to beat the fear I felt just thinking about boarding a plane but Katina has helped me do just that. I feel confident and positive about the whole flight experience. She is a warm and kind individual who is totally professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending her services. South Africa, here I come!
I thoroughly enjoyed the process of addressing my long-standing issue with Katina. She has available to her a myriad of methods and processes to assist in getting to the root of the issue, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to another.
I’d never considered Hypnotherapy, but it has proven to be extremely beneficial for me. Under Katina’s tuition and guidance, I now have the tools to make many positive changes to my health and wellbeing. So very grateful, I would recommend Katina 110%.
